A goodbye & thank you to a great wildlife warrior. Alexis Diaz Limaco - Gracias for todo!
On the 27th April 2023, the world lost a champion for wildlife activism, animal welfare, and rights. Alexis Diaz Limaco was Animal Defenders International Latin American General Manager. He was our correspondent to the animals we care for at Pilpintuwasi that were Rescued through ADI and brought to us for refuge.
Alexis worked for over 20 years with ADI, first as part of the undercover team where his undercover work was vital in helping to change laws and attitudes towards animal welfare across Latin America.
Alexis was not just a champion for animals but first, as a human rights activist, he then played a significant role in getting circus bans for use of wild animals in Europe and Latin America. He is a reminder to us all, we all can make a huge difference - we all influence the environment around us and can change the world for a positive future for all.
We are eternally grateful for you Alexis, thank you for every soul you saved.
